Rear out put shaft is leaking on transfer case

My rear out put shaft is lecking Can it be replaced with out takeing the transfer case out and rebuilding

yes seal can be replaced once driveshaft and output flange is removed (need a special 30mm thin wall socket to remove nut), another thing to consider is the shift shaft seal which is directly above the drive flange and can be mistaken for a flange leak. this seal is much harder to replace due to its small size/location

ah, what the heck...i will be happy to resurrect this thread. i have no problem airing your dirty laundry on a public forum. i am fully aware that this is childish and unprofessional as hell. i apologize to anyone who is offended by reading this.

normally, i suppose i would just write this off as putting my own self in a position to get screwed which is indeed what i did. the reason that i am so angry about this situation is that i went to so much trouble to help you and all you have done is lie and screw me over for my efforts.

how exactly did i "rip you off"? how dare you question my integrity? everything i told you about the ix was the absolute truth. everything i told you i would do in respect to the deal i have done.

you were stuck in the middle of the country with a car that you broke the oil pan off of. i responded to the ad you posted here on r3v and spent my entire day helping you out. as it turned out, i offered to trade my '91 ix for your '92 mtech cabrio. i know that you didn't fly all the way out to florida for an ix and it isn't the car that you originally wanted. however, even you agreed that it was the best solution to the bad situation you were in at the time. in fact, to refresh your memory, here is a link to your thread: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...89#post3512289

you are pissing and moaning that you don't need to send the valance you promised me because your car's value "is so much higher" than mine. so, really who is crying? that would be you.

while we are at it, lets talk numbers: you told me that you paid 7000.00 for the mtech. in my mind, i was thinking this is crap because there was no way the car was worth that kind of money in the crappy condition it was in. as it turns out, i had to go back to the previous owner to get the title straightened out. (more on this in a minute) he told me that you really only paid 4.5k for the car. i didn't expect you to tell me the sales price nor did i ask. you volunteered that lie yourself.

when you looked at my car you said it had a value of 3.5k. i think it was probably worth a little more, but i can live with your number.

so....to summarize, i traded my 3.5k ix for you 4.5k mtech 2 cabrio with a broken oil pan. this is a car in which i couldn't even hear the engine run nor could i drive. i didn't even have a way to check if the engine was seized up. i basically traded my running driving daily driver for your "pig in a poke". how in your mind is that "ripping you off"? how much is any e30 possibly worth with a broken motor? do you think you could find anyone to pay you 7k or even 4.5k for that car in the condition i received it?

while we are at it, lets talk about some more of your screwed up lies:

you told me that the car ran great. you said the engine was really really powerful for an m20. you said the acceleration was amazing. after i get an oil pan under it and get it back together, i take it for drive around the block and it misses like crazy from 1500 rpm to 2500 rpm. i tear into the engine and find this:



i send you a text and ask wtf? your bullshit response is that "it must have gotten broken in the accident." really???!!!! come the fuck on!!!! the crack is full of black dust which means it had been that way for a long time. i asked the guy you purchased the car from about the engine miss. he said it certainly had that problem when he sold it to you. on one hand i am really pissed that you felt you had to lie to me like that to "make your sale." on the other hand i have to laugh my ass off thinking about you retards trying to drive across the country from florida to cali like that. fucking stupid.

lets talk about the title: i signed my title over to you so you could drive the car away immediately and be on your way home. you just stuck the title of the mtech(which you had already signed and filled in with your name) in my folder and never bothered to make any effort to reconcile it so i could get it transferred in my name. what kind of fucking dick would do something like that? i had to go back to the previous owner to get the title straightened out. what if he wasn't willing to help me out? i would be stuck with a car in my driveway that i couldn't even get legally on the road. all this time, you are off another state with my running, driving daily driver.

when i ask you when you are going to send the valance you promised, you start making up a bunch of stories about how the ix needed a new head, the front suspension was trashed, and about 5 or 6 other unlikely issues. basically, you were trying to imply that you had all these issues so you weren't obligated any longer to send it along. i asked you to send me a photo of the car with the head off. you never did. along with this, comes from you the story that the valance was lost in the mail. as if that wasn't the oldest lie in the book, you have told me so many other lies, why would i believe you? such bullshit. also, even if the unlikely story is true, it doesn't relieve you of your obligation to provide me with that part. as you know, this aspect was written on our trade/sales receipt so i have legal legal grounds to reclaim this from you.

there are about a half dozen other issues where i caught you in lies. i guess i will save them for another day. i could tell that your friend matt was an honest, true hearted, upstanding guy. however, with all due respect, you are nothing but a lying piece of shit my friend. i pity any poor fool that does business with you. based on what you have shown me, anyone that puts their trust in you is going to get screwed.

now....with all this said, just send me the white mtech 2 valance that came with the car that ryan sold you like you promised. i will publicly apologize for all the true things i have said about you on this forum and i will also remove them . until then, you are a lying piece of shit that takes advantage of people that go way the hell out of there way to help you out.
