Ok, On my first ix the tyres I guess/can remeber 205/40-17, wheels were 7x17. I remember because it was the suspension of a terrible run at streets. I'm thinking of something like 215/40 or 215/45 if you just fit rotate
How did they feel driven??

Here is mine 7x17 et 25 with 205/40 tyresIn this photo that the height, from about 2 cm away. That stance would be cool
I have already bought a 7x17 inch ET 35 wheels so I thought if there was something the size of tires options. I do not care to buy 205/40-17 tires I know that they have been terrible on the street

My car is now under construction, havent done the 5 lug pattern yet.
If you want to get best driveability, you should use 14-15", wide something aorund 7" and et 25-40. you should keep the centerline of tyre the same as original..Leave a comment:

In this pic car looks awesome, my day dream pre-model e30 with deep dish wheels and little raise :p. Show more picswell i think it doesnt matter how wide wheel you use as long it doesnt hit your fender... you should just think look/driveable ratio when choosing rims.. i prefer look on my car... and if i put 10 wide to rear, it will come out a lot, so i need to get stiff springs..

Here is 8,5x17 front with et13 and 10 wide rear et 15, tyres are 235/45
I choose 1, Not matter looks. I have 4-door ix facelift modelLast edited by litu; 02-16-2013, 04:37 AM.Leave a comment:

I really like the steel wheels, I always wanted to widen some on an old 740 wagon I used to have. Thanks for everyone's help, I think Im going to go with some royal gun metal 15x8 RB's et 35.Leave a comment:

Home made Steel wheels are those D.O.T. approved? Legal?
There are plenty of light weight steel wheels from Bart and Aero Wheel. but they are not D.O.T. approved or street Legal. Leave you liable for anything that could happen if you get in an accident.Leave a comment:

and if you use car on the street, does the weight really matter? do you go to shop and ask always lightest wheels? nope, i prefer look better...
with steel rims, you can make as wide as you want and choose you offset...
that gives you perfect fit.. im going to make steel rims 7 wide for winter and give it a tyre 175-195 wide..
rally look :)Leave a comment:
