Ix a/c line

I know the ix a/c suction line (firewall to compressor) is unique to the ix but has anyone used a e30 325i a/c suction line as a replacement? any issues with inside strut mount vs ix outside strut mount?

So that is why my iX suction line is different from pictures of other iX's I've seen. Mine goes outside the strut mount (on fender side).

I assumed it got changed when converting to R134.
