    Need help with TC

    I have a 88 ix 2 dr I did the jack test and it failed . So do I need a new TC or VC or both . Also can I get this rebuild thanks I will appreciate any feed back . I live in Rhode Island

      The VC is usually what fails, and it will need to be replaced. VC's can not to my knowledge be repaired.

      There are plenty of DIY's on replacing the VC, as for actual mechanics who can do the job... they are getting pretty rare.
