IX Clutch Grabbing near floor

Recently my clutch has been starting to grab very early close to the floor. I first noticed it at a light where had the pedal in for a while. It was also very cold out and figured this had something to do with it. It would only happen if I had the pedal in for a long time. Its getting worse now. This morning it was every time I used it and now the pedal is starting to stay on the floor without returning until I pull it up with my foot, but the clutch does not stay disengaged it stays in gear as if it was not on the floor. I am only using the clutch at the lights now and Im not sure how long its going to hang in there.

Clutch pedal saying on the floor is a common symptom of low fluid level. Sounds like you may have.a leak somewhere in the clutch hydraulic or brake hydraulic system.

Fluid level is ok has not gone anywhere for a long time.

if there is no obvious leak and the fluid level isnt dropping then most likely the master cylinder is failing internally. try pumping the pedal several times and see if it improves , if it does replace the master cyl.
the pedal staying on the floor is a strong sign of master cyl failure or and empty hyd system

How can I determine if it's the master or the slave without removing them?

You already said it. The fluid level's not going down. If it were the slave, the fluid would be leaking out at the slave. Since the fluid level's staying the same, it's leaking past the MC seal and back into the reservoir.

You can also rule out the slave by inspection... if it's not covered in brake fluid, it's not leaking.

Is there a way to bleed the clutch without using the slave cylinder? The damn bleed screw is busted off in the slave.

you can try cracking the hyd line to bleed but it wont be the best solution as the line is near the bottom and the air will be on the top by the bleed screw and it wont flow much . prolly best just to replace the salve as well then you know its all good.
