Agreed! I wonder what went wrong there though. It's such a shame...I know he loved that ix and even tried to buy it back in my last email to him. This was his response to what he had done after I sold it to him...
" I replaced: front and rear differentials, rear driveshaft, rear bearings, rear brakes (I am talking calipers, etc.) steering rack, front control arms, fixed all electrical, all hoses, all seals (I mean all - for example, the oilpan was $850 because it involves driveshaft, etc., new windshield, new shock, spring/.struts. ALL BMW original and new (except rear diff was rebuilt). New wheels, (all 5 original, factory, refinished). new factory carpeting. all lights, computer, new factory headlight buckets, lights, etc.

Was curious about an old 325iX i once owned....
So i was digging through old emails trying to find the guy I sold the car to back in 2008. It was a 325iX that was once owned by NHskibum, who did a full restoration on it. I acquired it, then shortly after sold it to a guy named Greg in Virginia.
I remember we kept in contact for several years, mentioning he had installed a Metric Mechanic motor and took the car to the next level (putting about $20K additional into her)....but then a couple years went by and never heard of the car again.
I found his name in my old email, and did a google search. To my surprise he had passed in 2015 from an accident at his house....
RIP to a fellow iX'r.
