Installing Rear Driveshaft - Too Long?

I’m in the process of installing a new rear driveshaft, but it seems too long to get over the centering pin at the transfer case. The clamping nut appears to be loosened all the way (up against front section - no threads visible).

Any suggestions? I tried putting the flex disc on the shaft first, then attached the shaft to the final drive before attempting to get it up over the center pin.

    Thanks!

I’m an idiot -the sleeve wasn’t loosened all the way, it was tightened all the way. Good to go now.
