ix rear driveshaft problem. collar nut.

so pretty simple little problem. took the rear driveshaft out. I turned the collar nut too far, and its stuck on the universal end in that cup. fortunately it's marked and should be an issue getting it back together except the pulling the nut out of that cup enough to thread it back on the front end.

i was thinking of using needle nose pliers to pull it out, but if someone has a better idea, sure would be a help

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I’m in the same boat now - anyone figure out how to get that nut out of the cup?

I ran into this problem recently when I did my subframe bushings. I had to separate the driveshaft (after marking both sides to ensure it goes back together the same way it came apart)to get the collar nut out. I couldnt see any way to do it without taking it apart. Once its apart its east to get the collar nut out. I think I used a pick.
