5 speed manual swap from 4HP22EH auto 325IX

Hi guys

I'm nearing the end of a 5 speed manual swap in my 89 ix.

My car has the 4HP22EH transmission (the one with the sport/manual/1-2-3 selector).

We have everything back together but the car will not start , starter is not turning.

I'm thinking it may be a wiring issue as the wire colors are completely different than what all the manuals tell us.

We have the wires shorted together that are shorted when the auto selector is in p.

Is there something else I need to do? Anyone do one of these swaps before from an he transmission?

I am doing the same swap (Not the AT trans you have though with the 1-2-3 selector deal) You might benefit from a post that i put up about the wiring harness that is supposed to come out for a really clean setup.

might help, but perhaps not. I am not a fan of cutting wires and i like things as clean as possible.

Yeah I ended up getting it all sorted. We had already cut the wires as the colours were different, so we cut them to figure out which ones needed to be shorted when the car was in park.

My problem was a little black cable not plugged in under the console.
