All I can say is that I am very, VERY impressed. It's no Land Cruiser, but what a well balanced easy to drive car in the snow.

Joe:
I could not agree with you more. I just replaced my xfer case on my IX with a brandy new one because my old one was pooched and failed the jack test. We got about 10 inches of fluffy on Friday. My wifes '03 530 with DST and Pirelli snows got stuck on a hill... it was slick. I picked her up in the IX (which DIDN'T have snows on yet...). I told her to drive it home while I managed her car. She literally walked right up the hill in the IX w/o spinning! When I got home (after the hill was plowed), she said "I want and IX!"!!! I laughed! That night, I put the Blizzaks on the IX and went looking for unplowed roads. What a blast!!! It was like driving a snowmobile.... The car was unphased by anything I went thru. When I got it back in the garage the wheel wells, brake ducts, oil cooler opening and part of the grill were all plugged up from flying snow from my 'test drive'...
I get 21mpg combined city/local driving, 23-24 highway doing 70-75 mph. Best of all, it runs on regular!

I get around in the iS with nary an issue...so far its been great. Rally height helps me clear mounts and just pummel stuff...the front of the car is taking a beating though...one fog light down, the washer pump failed, lets see what else goes wrong..Comment

IX + blizzaks = unstoppable. I just picked up a set of CL for $125 from some old guy that didn't know what he had. excellent condition. excellent tread.
I didn't know what to expect, but I thought all of you were just talking this tire up. I was wrong. This tire is nothing short of amazing. I try and get some footage up soon.:)Comment
