I just dab my finger in it and then rub the sap, let it soak in for maybe 15 seconds, then start picking it off with your nail. If the sap feels sticky again just put more oil on it.
The oil prevents the sap from sticking to anything. So in the end you have a little oily sap bugger
But i know there "wax" is fucking bullshit.
basically just smearing grease on your car. lol
I would recommend never to buy anything along the lines of turtle wax ice.
WD40 will remove "new" tree sap. Sometimes it works on removing sap that has sat for a bit (as in weeks), but may not make a dent in sap that's been on the vehicle for months or years... WD40 will not harm the painted or clearcoated surface either. Use a microfiber towel or 100% cotton towel when trying to remove the sap after spraying w/ WD40.
go get some paint cleaner for auto detailing. If you dont have a polisher just use hand application and rub vigorously. Personally, I detail and thats how I remove it with a orbital. Its safe, and its part of the process.
As stated before, hot water and soap will do fine if its not too old. If its old its hard not to damage the paint using stuff like paint thinner, wd40 or goo gone.
