    Removed BBS kit, What Now?

Well I took off the BBS kit and not to sure whats supposed to be there.

I am getting some OEM Bumpers, but what else do I need? I am including some pictures so y'all can see what is and isn't there. I am new to BMW's and I have no clue what I need to install the original stuff.

Like I said, I am getting some OEM bumpers, so what else will I need? Do I need any different bumper supports, mounts, and/or valance? Or on these cars is the stock bumper made with a valance?

Thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate it.

Looks like your valence has been cut up to fit the kit. you will need a new valence, If yours is an early model then it looks like you have the brackets for Euro bumpers, you will need diving board bumper shocks if you intend to run diving boards.

Those brakets and mounts should go with the BBS kit. Cause the next owner of that kit won't have any way to mount it otherwise. Also if you don't want to use the aluminum bumpers that came on the car. Look into doing a plastic bumper swap. The front is a direct bolt on (minus cutting the tow hooks) But the back will take some work to shorten the bumper sides. http://www.r3vlimited.com/tech/bumper/bumper1.htm

Looks like they cut the front valance to make the kit fit, so I would say you definately need a front valance.

Do the bumpers come with bumper shocks? Are you putting plastic bumpers or metal bumpers(diving boards, db's)

If plastic, I dont recall if you have turn signals on the side or not, assuming the bumpers you are getting are not euro you will need the wiring.

If db bumpers same thing regarding wiring but you will also need bumper surrounds.

It's an 87es, so I guess I do have the euro brackets. Do 91 verts use the same bumper shocks? I have a 91 parts car.

If not, wheres the best place to find them? Thanks guys!

I will ask the guy what kind of bumpers they are, I am guessing metal bumpers but not 100%. So it sounds like I need a lot, lol.

Maybe I will just buy another parts car, lol.

I will check into the bumper swap.

And yes I am including the brackets and mounts with the BBS kit, I just took these to show what I do not have as far as OEM goes. Thanks guys! I really appreciate all the help and quick responses.

I really don't know where to start with that, as I don't know the difference. Like I said, I am Noob, lol.

I will prob. go this route for now, until I decide what I want to do to the car.
