    stock license plate removal...

Ok i want to take off my license plate but if i do i have this ugly bracket that holds it on, is there some way to cover up where the bracket was or do i have to buy a new bumper strip? The plate detracts from the cleanliness of my front end of my car.

Do you have a 84-88 car?

I forget who but there is a company that sells a filler, BMP maybe, but mine broke during installation.

I got a 91 318is and since i have installed my freshly painted grill, and custom made front lip i wanted to change the look of the front end and clean it up a little, the license plate looks out of place so i might just mount it inside the car on the pasenbger side of the windshield.

Well, I don't know who but someone does sell a license plate delete strip for the facelift cars too.

Be careful of front plate tickets!

Just tell cops you bought it that way and since it's such an older model, they no longer produce license plate brackets, so you're SOL.

BMP sells plastic covers that go over where the licence brackets would go, that says "BMW".

I think what you should do is (what im going to do sometimes) is get the stock brackets let it sit in the rain and what not and get it all rusted.
Keep that in the car in a bag, and if you ever get pulled over, just say that the licence plate mite fall off because its an old car and the bracket is all rusted.

Just say that you are going to buy one.
