If you really must remove it just pull it off. Pull the sides out and then pull the front forward and it should pop off. I agree though, get an IS lip or keep what you have.

          Is your car lowered?

Get a Volvo lip!!!!! :D Im serious
.. so that when you drive your car down a steep driveway and screw up your "Lip" (Like i did) you dont ruin your $200 dollar lip.. Thats if your car is a daily driver.. if its your weekend car.. go for the OEM IS lip... Otherwise spend 20 bucks and say fcuk it! Search around for mounting options/pics.

Seriously? Just get an IS lip...you can get one for about $150 if you look around. My car is by no means "my weekend car" but I don't want my car to look like ass with a part that doesn't belong on any BMW.

But OP...the I lip looks better than all volvo lips I've seen. I still can't get over how gawdy they look. To remove your currently lip means just popping it off. There were 6 (I don't remember, it might be 8) clips that hold it to the valence. Just pop it off all of them and you're done, but you may break the clips due to them being brittle after 20 years.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.
