    rear bumper thought?

I was thinking... I don't really care to spend the time on a bumper conversion for my 87. It's my daily driver. I still would like a plastic bumper look for it. I was thinking, what if I got a euro rear bumper, painted the chrome body color (black) and an m tech i rear valance, then got a plastic bumper, valance, and is lip up front? I'm not sure what sideskirts i'd get

just a thought. think it would look ok?

Stop at this sentence and rethink everything that came after it and do the plastic bumper conversion.

That sounds like more money/work than a plastic bumper conversion.

Just do like what can be seen in the member's ride section. I forget who it was but he had a RD kit, tucked the bumpers, painted them red with a black stripe to look like the plastics. Looks decent.

Since you have a vert, you just need the plastic bumpers and the brakcets that are used for mounting them. It is a direct swap because cabrios have the lower rear arches.

The search function is great, even if the thread is still on the top of the first page.

Also, I dont know if it was mentioned in that link or not (skimmed through), but since you have a cabrio, you dont need to modify the bumpers, but the plastic bumper mounting hardware will not fit on the rear of the body, as there is no slot to weld it to. Not hard to fasten it with bolts through the pre-cut hole though.

what if I got euro bumpers, painted them body color, did an is front lip and valance, and got some sort of rear bumper skirt for a euro bumper, and use whatever sideskirt.
