    My stupid hood won't latch

My hood wasn't sitting straight (bought it this way couple of months ago) and had a lot of dents so couple of weeks ago I replaced it with one that was in much better condition. The new hood looks great but the big gap remained on the passenger-side so few days ago I tried to see if I can line it up better.

I've loosen all the bolts front & back trying to correct the problem by adjusting the height etc. but now I can't get the damn hood to latch on. I've tried almost every possible adjustments (even the height of the latch itself) but nothing works . I got so fed up I've tried to do it forcefully by sitting and bouncing on it hard a few times and all this did was create a small dent on the left-side where the hood shock is connected .

Now, I can't even drive the car since the hood won't latch on which is worse then where I started! Anyone have and suggestion I can try? I'm real bummed I haven't been able to drive the car for almost two weeks now :(

You can still drive the car without the hood latched- I do it every day lol. The wonders of German design.

Have you spun the little rubber stoppers on the radiator support down all the way?

I have another car so I don't "need" to drive the car this way but I really "want" to drive this car. The rubber stopper is down all the way on the left-side and I took off the right-side one 'cause it wasn't moving up or down.

Damn! I have to drive the minivan to work tomorrow!!
