I grabbed a new rieger from DTM FIberWerkz - not bad quality actually, and it fit perfectly! (only issue is the lip on the side and front lets is sit in from the valance a bit, nothing bad though)
Anyway, I got some flexible filler and filled in MOST of the small irregularities on the surface of the lip. However, when hitting it with my SEM - you can see the filler and the fiberglass under the paint (it's like a change in the look of the surface - the entire lips been sanded with the same grit, but I think it's just the different materials)
Anyway, I'm thinking primer should make the lip look uniform - is this a correct assumption? In addition, I know SEM says not to use primer with their trim paint - but is there a primer I can use if I want?
Let me know! :)
