Opinions on this...? Painting MTech 1 Spoiler

Ok, so I have a MTech 1 trunk spoiler that I'm going to mount on my 325i. Well, right now the spoiler is delphin [with the black outer rubber part obviously]. What do you guys think about me painting the delphin part black with SEM trim black, which I already have sitting around anyway? It would be cheaper than getting it painted black at a shop and I think it would look pretty good. Thoughts on this?

And if I do it, it should be sanded and primed first, right?

sanding and priming is unnecessary for trim paint IMHO

I actually think real body color looks the best on that spoiler, even on black. But only if you look up close.

So maybe just scuff it up and paint?

I know painted would look a little better but I think the SEM will look pretty nice.

Sand it and shoot it with the trim paint.

I've seen it in person all black on a white car, looks awesome.

Can any of you recommend a good product for reconditioning the soft rubber part of the spoiler? Mine is pretty sun-faded.

                  Thanks

I think it will look better painted to match not SEM, if you paint it
with SEM it will look like one big ass flat black spoiler.

                      Matt you get my pm's?
