    How to paint magnesium rims?

Hey guys, i was looking through the forums and couldn't find anything anything on how to prep and paint the magnesium rims. I will be doing this by myself, and since i have a slim chance of getting my hands on a paint gun, i would probably just got to walmart and pick up a few rattle cans.

So if anyone knows what brand best to use, and any other information or hints and tip would be amazing.

Or if you know of a thread on here, you could just link me to that too.

And if i do a good enough job, id be more then glad to take pictures and write up a DIY

I've used Duplicolor wheel paint before and was happy with the results:

Biggest thing is prep work. I spent at least a half hour on each wheel just clean it. Use Castrol Super Clean and a brush and got every bit of dirt and grime off the wheels. Best thing is to have them sand/media blasted. That will not only get them clean, but also create a nice surface for the paint to stick to. IF you want to go a step further, get them powder coated, but since you want to do it yourself, that isn't an option.

Oh, and search. There are several threads on this topic.
