    Thoughts on German Flag Manifold

So I'll be cleaning up and painting my engine in the next couple days before dropping it in. Mainly just painting the manifold and valve cover. While I do like the black with polished BMW symbol I'd like to do something a little different.

What are your thoughts on this?

I know the colors are upside down but I thought it would look better with the black being on the outside.

It sounded like a good idea, but now that I'm seeing it I'm not so sure.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

Do what you feel mang. I wouldn't put in the one you pic'd though, looks pretty jizzacked.
personally I perfer the aluminum look myself, cleaned and not yellowed but to each his own.

Oh yeah I wouldn't put the one in the picture on. I just used 90 cent rattle cans on that one plus there is a big hole in the middle from a firemans axe. The car it came out of apparantly caught fire and they had to take an axe to the hood.

Well I tried to polish the aluminum but it wasn't working for me. There is a rub spot from from the heat shield that makes it look shiny but that level of polishing might be beyond my skill.

I don't like multicolored manifolds, whether the m colors, or German flag. Black with aluminum raised parts looks good. But clean aluminum looks best in my opinion.

                    ^ Bingo!

And if you are really motivated have it hard-coat clear anodized. I'm thinking of doing this to mine.

I would go with the aluminum polishing myself.
