I have a number of small, shallow dings/dents that need to be fixed. We're talking an inch or two diameter and 1/4 inch deep, max. What would be a good quality filler to use that is readily available retail or mail order?

There are few things more expensive than a cheap BMW...

I still use bondo. For really little dings I use glazing putty, but I usually wait until the day before it gets painted.
I have also used this stuff called all metal, it is pretty expensive and kinda hard to find (I got mine at NAPA however). It is nice because it is like liquid lead, kinda the same properties when dry, but that is probably best for larger dents.West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.
