Metal Bumper Surrounds Question

Does anyone know if the painted bumper surrounds from the metal-bumper convertible are the same as the ones on the coupe? The part numbers are different but they appear to be identical, and the body is the same, so it stands to reason they are an exact fit on the coupe body. Can anyone confirm that?

They won't go back to 86? The 85's had the different side marker lights, but from 86 to 90 they look identical. What is the difference?

as long as the cabbie has the higher wheel arches they will fit an early model, I am refferring to the rear surrounds. with a little fabbing the front will work on almost any E30
