    Blasphemous??

My car is heading to the body shop this winter (hopefully, if all goes as planned :D).

Every time I look at my car all i can think of is a fucking goth chic, all dark and spooky...

I am highly considering painting it white (I have a ragging hard-on for white tech2 cars.) but have no immediate plans to remove the engine/tranny at that time.

Would you guys call it blasphemy not to paint the engine bay too (leaving it black)?? My thoughts are that she is a DD and is going to get filthy in the bay anyway.

    What say yee???????

YMMV, but if a car is one color on the outside, I am disappointed to find the jabms, creases, engine bay, trunk, etc. a different color.

I agree fully. I hate that. I'm planning on painting all the jams, trunk, creases, etc, just not the engine bay. ...Because that WOULD be blasphemous!! ;)

Well, then I guess it's not so bad, considering how much of a PITA pulling all the stuff out of there would be. Heck, plenty of people paint thier engine bays a different color than the car when they swap motors, so it wouldn't be without precedent.

I didnt think it was too big of a sin. Like you said, I've seen it done countless times. Just wondering peoples opinion.
          thanks ;)

I don't agree, but to each his own. A plain white e30, never!

if you leave the engine bay black there better be black stuff in there to go with it or it will look like a lazy paint ob. if you have black headers and some other stuff it will look like you did it intentionally lol

heh, my valve cover is painted black and my engine is black from all the oil that's leaked over the years? :) Does that count? haha
