Late model E30 door fitment on early model e30 coupe.

Hey guys, will a late model coupe door line up with an early model car? My door has the catch area on the door broken and am thinking about just putting the parts car door on it.

Inputs would be valuable.

FYI I have an early model door on my late model, and it fits fine.
