Mirror glass replacement?

So my driver side mirror glass is cracked. I dont want to replace the whole thing because I just painted the housings, so how do i replace the glass? I was able to get a glass out of a junkyard car so how do i put back in my car without destroying my mirror.

Take a small flat-head screw driver, and put it in the little hole at thwe bottom of the mirror, in the middle. You should be able to move it around until yo hit the tab on the locking ring (look at the back of the replacement glass, you'll see what I'm talking about)

Push the tab until it pops loose, then you'll need to use the screwdriver to nudge the old glass out (shouldn't need to use any force, it should just fall out)

Center the replacement glass on the ring in the mirror, and use the screw driver to push the tab until it locks in place. push on the mirror to make sure it's secure.
