    DIY Diamond Schwarz Repaint

Where can one get some bmw diamond schwarz paint?
I need to repaint a front bumper, and possibly refinish some other parts.
Does bmw sell this, or what other company(ies)?
And how expensive is the supply of OEM paint?

paintscratch.com or your local auto body supply store can mix it up in a can for you to spray.

      hmmm.
how much would you say is needed for just repainting the front bumper (plastic)?
and to really match OEM, i'd need how many coats?

The number of coats has nothing to do with it matching. It's all how it is mixed. Paint with metallic flake in it is hard to match as flake size and amount of flake play a big role in how it looks. I suggest getting it sprayed professionally and having it blended with the rest of the car.

A quart should be more than enough to do the front and rear bumper.

          damn.
so its not really gonna be cheap, but IMO its really worth it.
The front bumper is peeling, and it has that typical minor chipped away spots over it.
the hood and roof were resprayed DS like 2 or 3 years ago by a local shop downtown.
After all this, wanna get the car professionally detailed.

Cheap. You better be happy its not red.
I just did an engine bay over the weekend. One qt. of paint was 147.00
That wasnt including reducer, clear, hardner.

But it was worth it. :p

If all your doing is spraying your bumpers I would just have a body shop do it. It will cost you the same as what it would to buy the paint and go through all of the trouble to prep and spray them.

I thinkI'll have to look into that, need to check out the local shops and get their estimates.
