    Filling in trunk spoiler holes

So I took off my iS trunk spoiler to opt for a Hartge wing. Now I'm left with 6 or so holes in my trunk. What is the best way to go about filling these holes in?

I just got a new trunk. Did the exact same thing you did, to a hartge wing.

Weld them shut, then do the body work and repaint the lid. Or find a lid without holes and paint it or get lucky and find a lid the same color without the holes.

if yo uarent welding the holes yourself, and doing the body work, its absolutely not worth it. find a good trunk to repaint for 50 bucks. and you are good to go. I got mine estimated by 3 shops, all wanted over 100 bucks to weld and prep the trunk before paint. The paint was only 100. Just get a new trunk.

Hmm. Well I might ask my brother, who has welding experience if he might be able to do it. If not...I'll have to find another trunk, which is a shame because my trunk is in pretty damn good condition paint wise.

If it was me and i was gonna mount the spoiler over the holes then i would clean the area very well, and prime it, then silicon over the holes. If you dont want to weld, or cant find a good trunk lid then this would be the most effective way to cover up the holes and not cause cancerous rust.

Just thought of this, if you have the time take it to your local community college with a body shop and see if they can do the work for you. Here the teacher is over seeing what they are doing so your car doesnt get jacked up, and the teacher sprays too. They could be different but i wouldnt think much. Oh and if you silicon i would put some on the inside of the trunk as well.

Here is a thought. I have seen some Thin Top plastic push nuts that you can get from the auto parts store you can paint them first ''Your Color'' touch up paint and when installing use some silicone to seal and to help hold them in place. GL
