    Removed M Emblem

So a PO had an M emblem on the trunklid next to the 325es. It was all faded plus I didn't want it on there. I used the old hairdryer and dental floss technique. The emblem came off pretty well, but the body is slighly discolored and there is an outline. I tried using Goo off and Mcguiar's ScratchX. It still looks like shit. Any other suggestions or am I going to have to put another M emblem back on (something I don't want to do)?

        ^^ wool pad would work.

Easy way of getting rid of that black outline is to use benzene (or break cleaner).

I can't find the thread I need so I'll just post in the most relivent one I found.

I couple months ago rob posted a link to this buffer like pad that makes removing emblem and pin strip residue very easy. Any one know were I can find this?

i used the hairdryer/floss method as well. then i took goo-gone and a credit card to the left over glue. the light scuffing it left dissapeared very easily just with waxing.
