    Different lengths of diving boards?

I know that the lengths of diving board bumpers differ from 87 to 88 model cars (the 88's are slightly shorter).

My question is, is it the bumper itself or the shocks that are longer on the 84-87 cars?

Both shocks and bumpers are shortened.

I see. In that case, a little swapping, maybe some custom fab may be in order.

Thanks for the quick answer, Kris.

I'm just wondering - what are you thinking?

Because, when I get a front plastic bumper and get the plasitcs painted - I'll have all the 88 metal bumper components available?

Maybe I'll snag them from you, if you'd be willing to cut a good price.

            Josh,
get metal bumper cabrio bumper shocks.
I used these for a tuck that brought the front of my bumper perfectly inline with the front of the 87 iS airdam.

No drilling, no loss of accident compression... good choice.
            Below the radar...

Awesome. The shocks don't have to be compressed at all? How about the rear? Should I go with the 88 parts?

I'm sure we could work out a deal. i don't know of anyone else that would buy metal bumpers from me - so, I definately think we can get that settled. ;)

I forgot, I used the cabrio bumper as well.

Tucked rear bumpers without a skirt look like hell.
But no, rear shocks still need to be compressed

my 88 diving boards and shocks put the bumper right inline with the 87 is Airdamn also maybe 1/4 longer, looks perfect. I have a plastic bumper for the Rear already and am going to install that sometime.
