Do you mean the trim on the bumper itself, or the side moldings?

You just have to pop them off, they are held on by little white clips. You're most likely going to break the clips pulling the molding strips off, but they are cheap to replace. The strips are a direct swap.

Are you sure? The 88 and up ones are made to fit the lower rear arches. If they have a pre88, it'll have higher arches and hence they wouldn't be able to cross would they?

You're best bet would be to just take em off, paint them, and put them back on. I don't think they make none chrome pre 88 side strips to fit on the rear. :-\

The 88+ ones won't ft on pree 88 cars. You'll have to paint your chrome ones.

I'm pretty sure they are interchangeable.

tahnks, ya all the strips fit except the rear ones because of the different arches, ill probablly just paint my chrom ones like someone said, i was just wondering if someone had a trick to getting the rear ones to fit

Uhm I was saying that I think they are interchangeable, even the rears. I remember comparing them and it was like an eighth inch difference between them. I was hoping someone would chime in with 100% answers because I am only 99%.

i already tried to put the rear ones on, they dont fit by more than an 8th of an inch, theyre just too long by like 3/4 of an inch, ill probablly end up taking my old chrome ones and painting them all

But the rest of them do fit, and I've got a parts car shell that has all of the solid black ones on it still. So what I'll probably do is swap them and then just paint the rear ones.

yeah the rest of them fit, note that the front fenders are indeed different though on early bumper cars (<88)
