Aligning window trim??

So I'm prepping the car for paint and noticed a weird problem with the window trim fitment. If you look at the first two pics (drivers side) you can see what the trim should look like, where the 3rd and 4th pics (pass. side) shows the misalignment of the front of the trim. I'm not quite sure how to handle this yet, still looking into it.

any suggestions on how to correct this?

you can move that up if you unclip it out of the gutter, maybe shift an inch

Any link on how to do that? I found a write up Jordan did on removing all the trim which requires taking apart all the interior A,B, and C pillar trim on the inside, is that the only way to adjust it?
