    Door Seal?

I just purchased a 1991 318is and it appears as though the passenger side door seal is too small, or too short. It doesnt fit in the top rear corner... I ordered a replacement from bavauto but now i'm worried it may possibly be worse than i think... anyone else have this issue? Maybe it's just old and shrunk over time? haha i dunno.

My seals shrank on the car. Dunno about new ones though. You can do what I did and splice a piece of the old into the new piece near the front doorjamb.

old ones shrank, my coupe has the same problem. And I have a good set of seals sitting in my garage for it for about 6 months now.

Yep, I had to replace a passenger door seal for the exact same reason. I got a new one, and it looks great.

i pulled a driver side one from a pick n pull, it will do for now, no tears and it fits proper :-)

when you replace it, i don't know how your vinyl headliner near your visors are, but make sure you get it tucked properly under the seal when you press the new one on. i didn't pay attention and i ended up putting a small tear in it that you can't see once the vinyl is properly tucked.

^^^ a little double sided tape or vinyl glue helps.

                  door seal replacements

New guy here with old 325e. fixing up some bits and pieces on a coupe that I just purchased a few weeks back. so far have gotten the sunroof drains cleaned out, sunroof working without blowing fuses, and automatic gear shift indicator working via reconnecting the indicator light wires that had been cut. Have been looking for a drivers side door seal as the one on my vehicle has shrunk and is 1. not sealing, and 2. causing the door to not shut properly.
Question is this, has anyone used seals from a company like JC Whitney instead of OEM seals as they are hard to find and rather expensive. If so what company and part numbers will work for the coupe?

Just FYI to everyone (if anyone sees this). I stumbled across a company called "Vintage Autobahn" that makes reproduction door seals for the e30.

Edit: Well shoot, missed the GB. Oh well.
