    help!

    I am a noob when it comes to waxing/polishing cars.I need to know what I have to buy to do this project. I am doing it by hand due to being first time. I have no experience at this what so ever. I am going first thing in the morning to get supplies any help in addition to the supplies I need is greatly appreciated

    Get the meguiars california gold kit, thats what i use and it works great

        cody, i just did the same thing today. went out to buy all my stuff for my first attempt at clay/polish. i picked up mothers california gold clay, Meguiars ultimate compound and meguiars nxt tech wax. i plan on doing it all in this order on one body panel tomorrow morning.

        -wash with dish soap
        -clay bar
        -polish
        -wax

        let us know how it all turns out.

            maybe read this. it is a sticky at top of body/paint forum. or currently about 6 posts above yours. It's pretty good.

              Well did project today smoother feel then it was but not that shiny

                I got it waxed used some turtle wax i found in my garage after i already for a new bottle of turtle wax. I put some real nice gold maxxims on and it looks sweet (to me anyway) but I unfortunately didn't get as good of a shine as I thought. Will post pics asap

                  don't know what to tell you, i did this on a small section of my quarter panel and it made a HUGE difference. that small section of my e30 looks like brilliantrot now, not brilliantpink-ish. this was on the original paint. on the resprayed fender i did it too, but it was not matched properly and was kind of a rough finish etc so i saw barely any difference. but at least 3/4 of my e30 will be back to a nice lustre in the near future.
