    Magic eraser the bumper?

I have late model plastic bumpers and the paint is fading and looks more pinky than brillantrot. Can you magic eraser these? Or should I just pull them off and buy some colour matched rattle can paint and do it up that way?

Dang. I was hoping it might buff out some of the fade. :(

        You need a buffing compound.

Its the chemical in the magic eraser that works. I use it on abs plastics that show age and wax residue. Using it on colors will only mask the problem. Get a good polishing compound and go to work. Use a solid wax afterword and be done with it.

oxidization is the cause, magically if you take a heat gun and heat the area with long even strokes, it will get rid of the whitish fade and return it to its original color...i know it works on black, possibly red too.

Don't use the damn magic eraser...

Get a buffing compound and follow the instructions. You need to polish the oxidized paint off.
