    Cabrio Rear Window Repair/Replacement

The folding rear window (and zipper halves) on my 92 M42 Cabby is beached. Do any of youse local guys (MA/RI) know of a good shop that can do this type of work?

Don't know anyone in the area, but I used this window replacement on my 90 325. Got to get the zipper just right, took me and and my wife 10 tries, but it looks great! Got it in gray, thicker than stock.

Replacement BMW E30 Convertible Top Window. 318i, 325i, Rear Vinyl Windows. Original BMW Zippers with New Plastic.

    Good luck.

Dayum. The clarity on that window is impressive. What's with the heavy rubber weatherstrip? Is this how it anchors to the cloth? The kit on the link you posted doesn't show it....

John325ic, you need to fix your gangsta lean seats. There are some cheesy welds in the brackets that hold the gears for the recline. I popped out my drivers, found the broken bit by putting a weight in the seat, rocking the seatback back and forth to look for what was giving out, and threw a couple self tapping screws in there.

The car was so much more comfortable after that.

bryant.cw, yeah that was an old picture, had to replace the frames. Someone had a real fun time with a torch, messed them up bad.

jeff b, there is a zipper that is used to attach the window the the top. It's a bitch to get it started, there is no hook to line it up. Some are sewn in, look at it from the inside with the top up to see what you have.

My green window has a zipper all around it, unfortunately neither part is still attached to the top. You think they would silkscreen some marks on the inside of the top/zipper to indicate start point, curvature of the zipper run, etc..this looks like a royal pain in the ass. The PO told me he installed the top himself and also said it was the hardest thing he'd ever done. The body of the top looks mint, but I can't explain how he fucked the window up.
