    Re-finishing euro bumpers

Well, my euro bumpers arrived today. They are going to need refinishing to be what I want them. Still, I think with the deal I got I'll be ahead in the long run and have some bumpers when I'm done.

Trim: A few scratches on the trim here and there, and of course it looks like it's been in the sun for the past 30 years. Just sand/scuff and repaint with SEM trim black?

Bumpers: Chrome on the rear is gone in a few spots on the top portion of the bumper. Anyone had bumpers refinished? Anyone ever powdercoated them?

Also, on the front plate panel I'm missing a square trim cap on the drivers side, about 3/4" square.... can I buy this alone or just spring for a new plate panel?

    Thanks!

Got a quote back yesterday, $1400.

Looks like it's time to powdercoat them!

I would just replace all the plastic/trim stuff it's not too expensive and will fit better than 20 year old baked under the sun stuff and re-finish or powedercoat the bumpers/chrome

I bought new trim for mine, it's better in the long run. I painted mine as well, although I went for the black look on mine so I ended up plastidipping them.
