front valence repair/replacement.

Its obvious the previous owner hit something like a tall curb with the right front corner.
It's pushed the front lower part in enough that the tire rubs on the fender lining at full lock (turning left). It's not breaking anything, but i want it to stop.

The front lower section there seems like it's made of steel, is that right?
Any guides already out there on how to remove the thing?


Also...
a place to get a new one, on the cheap.
Though i'm pretty tempted to just hammer the thing straight again.

No guides on how to remove it. its pritty simple. once you take off the front bumper everything is visible. if your talking about a late model 88+

Some ppl do bend it back.

The only place you could get one "on the cheap" would be the junk yard. they go for like 100 in fair condition anywere else

There are two T55 torx bolts underneath the plastic bumper. Undo those and then literally just pull the bumper off. Then it will be pretty obvious how to get the metal valence off.

i'd say bend/hammer it back till you can source a good, straight one. will stop the rubbing and will last till you find a new one.

Got the front valence removed. You need a t-55 torx bit and like a t-20 or 15 torx bit since the valence is attatched to the fenders at a few spots.

I beat mine fairly straight with some auto body hammers. In the process of stripping/repainting now.
