ever use Por 15, ive got a few questions

Ive been thinking about using some on my car to prevent rust. I currently have the carpet and all sound deadening out of my car and I figured now would be a good time to por 15 the floor boards. There isn't any rust on my floor boards now I just don't want any to show up. I've got a few questions.

Should I strip/sand the paint that is currently on the floor? Ive read that por 15 adheres to bare metal/rust better than it does paint.

Also I'm going to roll it on and was wondering if I should use regular brushes or rollers or should I use the foam kind. I would think the foam could get in the crevices better but Ive never used this stuff and want to make sure I do it right the first time.

    Thanks

POR15 needs rust to work: it isn't "a coating", it is a rust converter.

There is a huge doc on their site, you should read it.

Paint is what prevent metal from rusting. If your paint is good, you are OK. Every car ever rusted through from the inside had standing water issues...not just a leak, but stayed wet for long periods.

      uh, used it once.

I didn't read your post either.

It will stain the SHIT out of ANYTHING it touches. Be warned.

It didn't get out of my skin for like a month.

thats cause mositure is what drys it, its a very strange paint. but luke is right, it works best being painted onto rust, it sucks the moisture out to keep the rust from spreading.
