bahh nonsense. it takes a bit of balls to paint a car right. Use test panels, figure out your spray pattern, one "dry" tack coat followed by wet coats for coverage (even this is wrong as you should go coverage right out, but will help get over your fear of drips). Consistent distance from panels, even stroke and spray past your stop point. Oh, and if your lacking good prep, it will always look like crap.
also, you can use 2 step with normal black automotive paint, then a matte clear. Any automotive paint supply can get these for you. I can find the part numbers when I get home for what I used on my motorcycle...looked flawless when done.
