    how to clean this. LOOK

I finished to remove all of this "mat" stuff from the trunk today.

    Question:

How/what should i use to remove all the "glue"( the brown stuff still stuck to the metal). I was thinking paint thinner maybe or some kind of sealant remover. Anyone recommend something decent they have used.

    * side not. this smelled like so much ass/mildew/piss/death I almost threw up through my resperator.

heat gun and a scraper to skim off what you can of whats left and brown, for the glue and remaining residue acetone, mineral spirits, thinner, whatever.

I did mine during summer, no heat gun needed, then I think I used WD-40 to get the residue off.

This has been covered 1000 times- at least twice in the last week. Can anyone tell me what you do when you have a simple question that has most likely been asked a bunch of times before? What do we do?

Mineral spirits works the best. You can go to something more aggressive but it will start removing paint. 10 mins and a $5 thing of it and your done.

                      Yeah! NO.

I just peeled mine earlier this week, on a warm day. Came up in MUCH bigger pieces than that. Still have to get some mineral spirits. (I was thinking about making a thread, but wouldn't you know it... TWO people asked the same question this week!)

                      Thanks!

Dry ice works perfect. Leave it on there for 10 mins then it comes off super easy.
