    Drilling out trunk lock

Well, my locksmith could not get the broken key out of the trunk lock. I have a spare trunk lock with a key and was thinking about just drilling out the old one. You know, just slapping a big bit and drilling out the lock cylinder itself.

Does anyone have any insight about whether this will work? Any obvious drawback to trying this?

It will work, done it. Someone tried to break in to my Eta [trying to get the system I am guessing] and all they did was fuck up the lock

Drilled it out and bam, solved

Cool, thanks. Any idea about what size bit you used?
