Need help with lame front bumper!

    Hello,
I'm new to the BMW world and I'm just looking into getting a 1987 e30 325is that has passed both the inspection of myself and a mechanic. The only problem?.... the front bumper. I'm not fond of what I'll call the "M3 style" front chin spoiler. So now to my question... How much would it cost me to acquire a stock front bumper? Paint it if the color doesn't match? And would any bumper from an e30 work or does it have to match the particular year and model?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Thats the stock lip. I'm sure you can sell it, aslong as its in decent shape, cause someone will want it. Then put the money toward a plastic bumper swap from a 89+. The plastic bumper swap is a direct bolt on the front. Just have to cut off the tow hooks and rewire in the pig tails for the turn signals and fogs. But then you have the stock bumper in the back. And changing it is alittle more work.

Hmm, I could have sworn mine looks funny. I didn't notice when I was inspecting the car in person, but got nervous after looking at the pics when I got back home. Thanks for alleviating the fear of an inexperienced BMW enthusiast!

That's because it is hanging low. The top of the valence should be flush. Looks like it got snagged and broke/bent some of the hangers it clips to.

Get it to sit right with some tape on the backside and see if it makes it appear any better.
