PLastic Bumper Swap work in progress...

ok, so i finally got around to starting my plastic bumper swap on my 88. it was soo freakin easy to get off the old bumper shrouds, and even the side mounts for the plastic bumper had mounting holes already there...i dont know why i didnt do this ealier, guess im just lazy.

One question though, do i have to compress the struts in order to get the bumper on? it looks like they will only go in like maybe and inch. or should i find some bumper shocks offa plastic bumper car...i should have grabbed the ones offa my 4door, but i didnt think i would need them. oh well. heres a couple pics of my bumper mounted up to the car, without paint.

looks great, im starting mine after my last exam, along with some other things.

Take pics of the side tabs that hold the bumper sides in place. I still dont know exactly how they fit and how the bumper goes into them.

Hey bro, you're going to need the bumper shocks and supports from the newer models. You may be able to make the old ones work by compressing them, but I think it's doubtful.

I've got a guy bringing up some parts to SF on the 10 (dunno if you want/can wait that long) and he's bringing a bunch of stuff with him. I can ask him to bring a set of supports and shicks for the plastic bumper if you'd like.

hey jason, what do you mean by "supports"? is that the piece that the shocks mount to?
