Anyone ever shave the bumpers?

Been thinking about this, my euro bumpers are so small anyways, I can almost picture what it would be like. Sort of a 2002 look to it, I'd think. Anyone ever see it or try it?

I'm in the process of doing somthing similar for the back end of my 87 Autox/Track car. Basically creating a "Flush" mouting rear bumper from sheetmetal re-inforced Fiberglass.
