touching up rockers

[NC325iC]

hey guys
taking the black ruberized paint off of my rockers unfortunately took a little body color with it. so i was wondering:
a)where could i get paint to match, if i could get it locally thatd be great (alpine white 2) if it is a close match thatd be great.
b) what shuold i do to prep it. it has had some powerful cleaner on it so id imagine id want to get as much of that off as possible.
any help would be great

no thanks i think ill go with white, it looks too stupid with everything else on the lower part of my car white. maybe if i can find some decent side skirts ill respray them black when i cover them up, but not now.

How many cans did you find to be enough?

I just picked up some 3M stuff from my local autoparts store. It's been well over a year since I did mine and they still look great. Just make sure to use some Goof Off or something to clean all of the crap off of the rocker panels before you paint them. As Dan mentioned, mask really well and put a drop cloth over your whole car. Also, the stuff takes about 8 hours or so to dry (and it fucks it up if you touch it when it's wet), so my advice is to spray it before you go to bed and let it sit in a garage overnight to completely dry.
