Has anyone ever thought of putting this stuff on their lip to cut down on rock chips? I know I've seen this on new cars on the hood and mirrors etc. I was just thinking that putting this on your front lip would save having to repaint from time to time. Do they even sell it in sheets so that this would be possible?

im sure if they sell sheets enough to cover a hood you could manage to do a lip... seems like a logical idea to protect the thing most likely to get damaged i say go for it

I plan on installing this after my paint job, I found this company called
X-pel technologies, I sent a request for a custom cut kit for my car just waiting to hear back.

I'm doing this on the iS airdam on my car when I get it repainted. Considering going a few inches up the hood and the fronts of the fenders, too.Comment
