    Chrome trim around windows

Mine is all hazed and scuffed. I tried some metal polish, but no luck there. Is there any way to restore it to its original luster, clarity, and shine?

Shadowline = paint the trim black. :) Just use some kind of trim paint. i.e. SEM Trim Paint.

I had this problem, and used a dremel to polish the haze out. be careful around the paint though.

SEM brand trim black not the color coat, although I did use the SEM brand color coat on my underdash panels and they look very good, but get a can of SEM self etching primer and a can of SEM trim black and spray away. I used the trim black on my wiper arms and cowl panels that I can think right now but the finished product is worth it.

The chrome inside the car like at the base of the windows actually does respond to aluminum polish.

The reason they don't polish up well is because they have been anodized clear to keep them shiney. If they weren't coated, they would look a LOT worse.

I know many paint their chrome trim black, but I've heard bad stories about the paint chipping, even with a good acid-etching primer. 318is's came stock with black trim. Just find someone selling that and swap it out. That way you don't even have to paint. Although, many also do a quick spray over the black trim just to freshen it up a bit.

I know all about the outside trim I meant more specifically the inside trim chrome trim you know that burns the skin off your arm in the summer. Is there shadow line pieces for the inside? PT# please

Yeah the ///M3s are black, so it would only be for a coupe.
