    Fender Roller Rental?

I know that there are guys in regions that have fender rollers but there does not seem to be anyone shipping one out with a deposit for use. Does anyone do this anymore?

I need to roll my rear inner fenders and my fronts.
If no one else is renting and shipping I guess it is an opportunity to offer a roller (pending purchase) to teh E30 Community.

Does a $260 deposit and $40 for a four day rental sound resonable? I figure if I ship it on Monday and you receive it on thursday it needs to be back in UPS's hands by Monday.

Any input would be apprecaited any interest would likely get me started.

There´s a guy here that will rent it to you and you can keep the roller for a full week. I think it´s a reasonable price, considering he must charge the deposit to ensure customers will return the hardware in good condition. I believe his price includes all shipping too. The same tool retails for over $350 online if you want to buy it new. I saw a different brand for around $150 on eBay some days ago. I guess it´s not too bad if you plan on using it a few times. While not flimsy, it didn´t appear as sturdy as the more expensive one. I´m sure there´s a reason for the difference in price. Hope that helps. I want to pull my fenders too.

for what it's worth i had access to a fender roller through a friend, and when i actually sat down to do them discovered that a small sledge/hammer wielded carefully worked much better.

park the car in the sun, and wrap the hammer with a rag. start working your way around the front slowly, dont try to get it flat all at once. go one full lap to get it started, then back the other way to get it a bit more, etc etc. i did both my freshly painted fronts this way without a crack, and had very good results.

the rears were too thick to get much action with the fender roller from my experience. i just beat the ever-loving hell out of them until i got em tucked up there a bit, no damage either.

This is going to sound stupid, but I'm new so cut me some slack. What exactly is a rolled fender? I google imaged it but couldn't tell what the difference was.
