    Detailing your car

How exactly do you detail your car? I've had experience with Meguire's three step system but I think it's shit compared to what I've heard other people. I just got my car outta the bodyshop, which had been there for 6 months(find my car crash thread, its old...august,september if ur wondering), and there are all these wierd looking white stains that those retards at the shop said couldn't be taken out with the polisher(maybe if they didnt lie and actually try polishing it.....) So anyways, whats the typical process to get a good finish??

    check here http://www.autopia.org/index.php

Everything you want to know should be covered there.

EDIT: The white specs you talk about is likely overspray or fall-out of some sort. Try a clay bar.

I heard Zaino is awesome. I have yet to try much on my E30 because I will only get depressed seeing the car shine but with all the rock chips it has from 15 years of driving.
However, with my old micky mouse car detailer job that I used to have, I have detailed some cars with AutoGlym stuff and the result was always excellent.

One of my favourite products that they have is the Extra Gloss Protection. So easy to apply, and gives cars (especially darker colored cars) such a deep, wet look.

            Klasse

Acrylic and silicon based "waxes" look good for a while, but they don't let the paint breathe (cure). Yes, paint never stops curing - even 18 year old paint.

Wash with pH balanced car wash, clay, polish (if needed) then wax with high quality carnauba wax.

zaino is a waste of money. you can do better for less. read up on autopia. its basically a filler/sealant.

i dont get it, if you were paying to have repairs done in the shop, their shouldnt be crap on your paint. and if there is, they should fix it.
