Anyone have any experience using one and what uses they are applicable for when repairing bodywork?
My car has a number of issues on the drivers side rear quarter panel that I would like to fix. Do you put a dolly on the other side like you would with a body hammer or considering how quickly an airhammer vibrates will that not even work?
As you can see in some of the pictures below there are some creases which I think an air hammer might be appropriate for. Likewise underneath the bumper (picture number 3) there is a section which needs to be either hammered out from inside the car, or I guess I could weld studs to it. Either way it needs to come out 3-4 inches.
Which is more appropriate, studs and a slide hammer or an air hammer? This car need not look perfect as it is my track car. The rust is light surface rust, nothing on the inside of the trunk in those areas.
